Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Co. Ltd. (IVM) is a Nigerian automobile manufacturing company whose headquarters is in Nnewi, Anambra, Nigeria.
It is just one of its kind in Nigeria, no wonder why it is nicknamed ‘pride of African Road’, the first Made-in-Africa automobile brand.
It was made to abolish the importation of used foreign vehicles (Tokunbo). It was founded by Chief Innocent Chukwma Nwala in 2007.
The company is into the production and assembling of all brands of cars, 70% of the car production is made locally while the rest is sourced from Japan, China, and Germany.
Among Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing (IVM) models are five-seaters Fox (1.5-litre engine) and Umu (2-litre engine) as well as mini-bus, Uzo.
