Awareness of, and expertise with, best practices relating to the use of physical security systems, investigation tactics, effective deployment and monitoring of contract security guards, and transportation and supply chain loss mitigation strategies is a plus.

Strong oral and written communication skills in English are required.
A bachelor’s degree is necessary, with a master’s degree in business or a related subject desirable. Academic degree or comparable practitioner experience, as well as globally recognized professional certification in S&LP management, such as CPP/ASIS or similar.
Thirty to fifty percent local travel, with the possibility of periodic foreign travel to help other teams internationally and engage in global peer reviews.
It is necessary to have prior expertise in security services and asset protection.
The Loss Prevention Manager – UK leads the effort to provide security services and asset protection (lives, buildings, equipment, data, and intellectual property) within Amazon’s fulfillment centers (FC) in the UK and related transportation network in an efficient and effective manner.
The senior Loss Prevention Manager –manages the Security and Loss Prevention Managers for their territory and collaborates with the Worldwide Operations Services leader in charge of global Security & LP, who provides Amazon with global standards, physical security support, as well as standards, policy, and procedural guidelines.
The Loss Prevention Manager also collaborates with the FC’s operational teams as well as various cross-functional teams throughout the organization (human resources, finance, retail, transportation, customer service, corporate audit, security services-retail/CS/Corp, physical security systems and design, related software teams, and other areas).
The final success of this Senior Manager will be determined by how well they contribute to the development and execution of standardized, cost-effective, and efficient security and loss prevention programs for the assigned FCs and transportation network.
These will be measured by agreed-upon objectives and metrics related to key areas such as the level and quality of customer service provided, the effectiveness of access control and theft prevention, the protection of our FC’s employees and visitors, and improvements in non-security department related productivity (such as employee retention, business continuity, product and equipment dependability, continuous flow for FC operations impacted by security systems, etc).
Role
Assist top management as the department’s liaison and security subject matter expert.
Enhance and standardize your services, programs, policies, procedures, and systems in collaboration with the Worldwide Security team so that they correspond with intended objectives.
Ensure that effective internal controls are in place in accordance with Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) standards for the region, and assist the Internal Audit Team as needed.
Ensure that data is secured in accordance with IT security and associated physical security requirements, such as access control and system monitoring.
Give your Security and Loss Prevention team leadership, guidance, and assistance (software, equipment, and other tools, reports, and data).
Lead the team to successfully address and report on security incidents, including possible and actual WPV, in accordance with policy, and to test the WPV and incident response plans as needed, including the usage of the Amazon security and LP data base and incident reporting system.
Metrics should be improved, tracked, and reported on.
Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma principles is a bonus.
A background in warehouse, distribution center, transportation, or supply-chain operations is preferred.
Experience in internal audit, risk management, inventory control, quality assurance, or a similar discipline is preferred.
