About the team

Working within our Loss Prevention team you’ll effectively support the provision of a safe and secure working and shopping environment, providing a uniform presence to protect the company assets and to minimize loss.

Responsibilities

Help our stores feel safe and secure places to work and shop.

Work closely with Store Teams and build strong relationships with local police.

Identify any high-risk areas and act as a strong deterrent on the shop floor.

Engage with store management to ensure Company LP standards within stores are adhered to at all times.

To action any other duties as requested by the Regional LP Manager including Out of Hours surveillance, LP auditing, and additional support at other stores and attend department meetings.

We would prefer you to have previous experience as either a Security Officer, worked in a retail environment, or the Armed Forces.

You’ll be flexible and willing to work across different stores and opening times. Travel will be required on a day-to-day basis to cover a cluster of stores within a reasonable traveling distance from your home address.

You will directly assist the company by doing preliminary research and subsequent loss investigation, efficiently utilizing resources for data mining, CCTV, and other surveillance. You will conduct forensic interviews based on your findings. You will be in charge of incident reporting and liaising with law enforcement agencies.

Control & Supervision

Monitoring, reporting, and handling compliance and performance of all relevant activities within the cluster, and ensures meeting goals, targets, and KPI’s

Responsible and accountable for the planning, requesting, allocating, spending, and monitoring of budgets within their cluster to ensure cost-effective operations.

Communication and Influencing- excellent verbal and written communication in English

Demonstrate ability to identify the customer expectation and adjust language and style to suit the listener

Customer-focused; have excellent follow-up skills

Academic Degree

Wicklander Zulawski (WZ) interview qualification

Qualification with relevant security bodies; CPP, PSP, TAPA

A grasp of Kaizen and Lean methodology and techniques would be advantageous.

The Loss Prevention Officer– leads the effort to provide security services and asset protection (lives, buildings, equipment, data, and intellectual property) within the store and related transportation network in an efficient and effective manner.

The Loss Prevention Officer manages the Security and Loss Prevention Managers for their territory.

The Loss Prevention Officer also collaborates with the FC’s operational teams as well as various cross-functional teams throughout the organization (human resources, finance, retail, transportation, customer service, corporate audit, security services-retail/CS/Corp, physical security systems and design, related software teams, and other areas).

Personnel

Planning, hiring, and developing S&LP team members (managers and specialists) that will be sufficient, suitable, and skillful to perform their tasks

Coordinating and recruiting an ever-growing team of Loss Prevention Managers and Specialists

Planning, budgeting, and monitoring the implementation and performance of security guarding services within the cluster

Developing presence multipliers, by implementing training and awareness improvement initiatives for various levels within operations and support functions

Creating mechanisms to support onboard all new talents to the organization, and contributes to the growth of others by acting as a mentor, coaching, and giving feedback to contribute to developing talent and support career development

Effectively prioritizing tasks and activities to ensure meeting customers’ needs.

Information & Intelligence

Liaising and aligning regularly with business and support functions to understand operational plans and to provide adequate risk management to enable those plans.

Identifying, evaluating, and handling threats and risks within all business activities within their cluster

Analyzing incidents, incidents, and intelligence to identify trends. Recommend and implement effective actions accordingly

Conducting, directing, coordinating, and/or coordinating investigations of internal theft and fraud within the sites of their cluster while ensuring compliance with relevant Amazon professional and ethical standards as well as with local legislation

Sharing, reporting, and/or escalating information and intelligence with relevant functions to ensure visibly and collaboration within the EU framework.
