Elon Musk developed an interest in computers around the age of ten when his parents divorced.

Musk’s game (Blastar) source code was published in a magazine, and he received $500 for it.

Elon Musk moved to Canada when he was 17 years old to study at Queen’s University and avoid mandatory military service in South Africa.

Musk moved to the United States three years later, in 1992, to study business and physics at the University of Pennsylvania. He then went to Stanford University in California to pursue his PhD in Energy Physics.

Elon Musk dropped out of Stanford University two days later to start his first business, Zip2 Corporation, in 1995.

How a Perfect Resume Should Look

Elon Musks Resume Template

Resumes are essential in any job search, but let’s be honest: writing a business development manager resume isn’t anyone’s idea of fun.

With so much conflicting advice on creating the ideal business resume, you may feel as if you don’t know where to begin or what to do.

Here’s what makes a resume perfect:

Accomplishments and Certifications

This is a crucial section of any resume.

Many job openings require a certification or degree, so make sure you list yours.

Education and training

The following are the two best places to include a section on your educational background in your resume:

  • Before the section on your work experience.
  • Following the section on your work experience.

Allow me to explain:

If you’ve recently graduated, consider putting your education background section before your work experience.

This is because, as a recent graduate, you are likely to have a more substantial educational background than work experience.

And, because the top third of your resume is prime real estate for highlighting your significant accomplishments, it is best if your educational background section comes first.

Also, if you are a professional who recently returned to school to obtain a new degree, you may want to prioritise your educational section over your work experience. This is especially important if your new degree is related to the job you’re applying for.

However, if you are a seasoned professional, you should put your work experience section before your educational background section.

List your previous employment.

This should include each company you’ve worked for, your job title, the time you worked there, and critical points describing your key accomplishments and responsibilities.

This section should be located near the top of your resume, just below the header.

Show off your abilities.

Recruiters are keen to learn about your strengths.

Please don’t make them look for essential information on your business resume; instead, include all of your key soft and hard skills immediately below the resume’s header.

To quantify your level of expertise, use concrete data points or simple illustrations. This gives recruiters a broad scope and context for your work.

Don’t forget to emphasise why you’re a good fit for the job.

Design

Your resume should not be overly decorated.

Leave as much white space as possible, with margins of at least 7 inches and a font size no smaller than 11pt.

Contact information

It would help if you did not make it difficult for recruiters to contact you with your business resume.

Put your contact information near the top of your resume.

Keep it brief.

The best resumes are no more than 1-2 pages long.

For myself, I’d stick to a one-page resume.

So, how do we connect all of these business development resume characteristics to the Elon Musk resume template?
