6. Rachel Carson Healthy Planet Award

The Rachel Carson Healthy Planet Award offers $5,000 per year to first-year students and international students.

The Rachel Carson Healthy Planet Award will be presented to a deserving high school junior from each high school in the United States and abroad who shows Rachel Carson’s spirit through a commitment to sustainability and community improvement. 

Juniors in high school who are currently enrolled, both domestically and abroad, are eligible for this award. 

Candidates must be nominated by a teacher, guidance counselor, or advisor, and a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher and full-time enrollment are required for renewal each year.  

7. Legacy Award

Legacy Award offers up to $5,000 per year to students in the first-year class, transfer students, and international students.

Legacy Award is given to brothers, sisters, children, and grandkids of Chatham graduates. 

A cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher and full-time enrollment are required for renewal each year.

8. Minna Kaufmann Ruud Music Scholarship

Minna Kaufmann Ruud Music Scholarship offers up to $3,500 per year to students in the first-year class and transfer students.

Minna Kaufmann Ruud Music Scholarship is for qualified singers who wish to pursue a music major at Chatham or who wish to include music in an interdisciplinary major. 

It is necessary to participate in Chatham Choir, and you can send the application in its entirety if you want to be considered for this scholarship. 

You will be contacted to audition as soon as they get your application, and you’ll be interviewed annually with an audition.

9. Instrumental Music Scholarship

The instrumental Music Scholarship offers up to $3,500 per year to the first year, transfer, and international students.

When enrolled at Chatham University, qualified instrumentalists who are awarded an Instrumental Music Scholarship are invited to add music as a minor or an interdepartmental major. 

It is necessary to take part in the Chatham Music Ensembles, so send the application in its entirety if you want to be considered for this scholarship. 

You’ll be contacted after your scholarship application has been accepted to set up an audition. 

There is an interview held annually with an audition.  

10. Family Tuition Grant

Family Tuition Grant offers about $2,000 per year to students in the first-year class and transfer students.

Family Tuition Grant is given to students who have a sibling who is a Chatham student.

A cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher and full-time enrollment are required for renewal each year.

11.Pittsburgh Promise Housing Scholarship

Pittsburgh Promise Housing Scholarship offers $2,000 per year to students in the first-year class.

For full-time, on-campus Promise Scholars who graduated from high school in 2018 or later, the Pittsburgh Promise Housing Scholarship is available for up to four years. 

A cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher and full-time enrollment are required for renewal each year.
