Various Types Of Scholarship Offered At The York University
1. York Entrance Scholarships and Awards
This award is for international first-year university students and does not require an application.
Students are automatically considered for the award as a result of this.
2. President’s International Scholarship of Excellence
Each year, twenty (20) of these scholarships are offered, each worth $45,000 per year.
It is renewable for another three years of full-time undergraduate study if the student maintains a satisfactory academic standing each year, for a total of $180,000 over four years.
3. International Entrance Scholarship of Distinction
Each year, three scholarships at $35,000 each are given out. It can be extended for another three years of full-time study if the student maintains satisfactory academic standing each year.
4. Global Leader of Tomorrow Award for International Students
Each year, two of these scholarships are given out. It is worth $20,000 per year and is renewable for three more years of full-time undergraduate study if the student maintains acceptable grades.
5. Tentanda Via Award
This Award is given to fifteen undergraduate students who have faced substantial personal challenges and have surmounted them in order to pursue a university education.
It costs $30,000 a year and can be extended for three more years of full-time undergraduate study.
6. International Circle of Scholars Scholarship
Each year, one of these $15,000 scholarships is offered to a student in their first year of study.
7. York University Academic Excellence Scholarships for International Students
Each year, five to ten of these scholarships are given out, each worth $5,000 to $10,000, and applied to a student’s first year of study.
8. Annie Demirjian ’77 Scholarship
This is one of the Glendon Entrance Scholarships and Awards, which is worth $5,000 to $10,000 per year and is given to a prospective international student enrolled at Glendon who has excelled academically.

9. Glendon International Scholarship
The scholarship is given to a new international student who has been accepted to Glendon and has excelled academically (85 percent and higher).
Applicants must show a strong desire to lead and/or a financial need.
